It’s a summer tradition at Gallery RIVAA (street level, 527 Main Street) that members mount a two-step effort to bring out their best recent work for public viewing. The exhibitions accommodate the Roosevelt Island Visual Art Association’s growing roster of artists by presenting two month-long shows, the first featuring photography, the second focused on painting, with RIVAA’s sculptors contributing to both.
