Letters - Blackwell House

Written by Naomi Schulz. Posted in Volume 37, Issue 6 - November 19, 2016

To the Editor:

On this Island, there is an old house called the Blackwell House. There are currently no plans for it, but I have an idea.

My friend and I believe that this old house should be turned into a history museum. First of all, I have heard that the Blackwell House is chock-full of relics. Why not let people experience them and learn?

Personally, I don’t live on the Island, but I do know what will scare a little kid on Halloween or at night. An old, creepy house that no one lives in? Definitely. A history museum? Not so much. So, please stop letting kids scare themselves and help them learn instead.
